I am using XFCE4, and it appears not to have any such option.
I got Caps Lock working by messing around with it, reinstalling it a few
times, etc. I don't know what made it work though.
Still, however, Scroll Lock doesn't work and I can't change to a virtual
console. In addition, the Logo and File keys don't work (those aren't
very important, but they might help debug things).
I am using the Dvorak layout for my keyboard, and it is specified in
xorg.conf. I tried changing back to us, and it gives the following error:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ setxkbmap us
Couldn't interpret _XKB_RULES_NAMES property
Use defaults: rules - 'xorg' model - 'pc101' layout - 'us'
Couldn't find rules file (xorg)

manager(GUI) you use have some tool to configure it? If so open it and
make sure you are using the US keyboard. I Can't remember whether it is
102, 103, or 105 keys keyboard. It will be an enlish language keyboard
and not the international one. Also if there is a place to configure the
country make sure it is the US.
