With and without power? Have you tried power cord and remove the
battery?

If it's under warranty have it taken care of that way.
----> I sent it back to ASL and it came back as dead as it went. They
seemed unaware of this fact. I asked to have Windows Pro 2000
replaced with the newest X version. Could they install that and NOT
notice the computer was dead, deceased, a damn parrot on the counter?
I don't find that re-assuring. That's why my question to the List!
Have you tried an external monitor?
----> I don't have one.
What about removing the drives, battery, and only have one piece for RAM?
Standard diagnostics here. It's what I'd do first before opening
everything and reseating the CPU.
That is scary to me. I've never been inside a laptop.
But I'm a big guy.
