If this is for security purposes, I'd prefer to leave the security to an external device/application/system/etc. and not rely solely on client-side security. The solutions provided thus far will do a good job at limiting on the client side - external firewalls and proxies will solve the problem in a non-client centric manner.
My reasoning is related to the problems inherent with most client side security controls (e.g. javascript). Also, many 'kiosk mode' apps/systems have historically had security issues. I've also personally done security/penetration testing against such kiosks (airline, HR, retail catalog) and none of the security controls/configurations I've seen have been very impressive.
