Looking at those prices I'd say they're only about half. And
they don't tell you up front who makes them nor do they have a
picture. Quite a few of the generic jacks aren't compatible with
Leviton.

As for Fiberglass in my butt, I don't crawl around the attic
naked so I've never had that problem. Typically I wear long
sleeves, long pants, work boots, and a good dust mask. You can
always pick up coveralls from a laundry place for not much more
than $10.
