I've set up a lot of different NoMachine clients now. I was able to login to
my server full screen and it's as if I was sitting at the machine. Good
response locally. I've yet to try it remotely. They say you can run it over
a modem. I have Hamachi installed and tried to get a friend to get on but he
hasn't been able to yet. From what I've read so far is if you do vnc you
have to put the ip address with a :1 after it or Hamachi won't connect.
I use FreeNX everyday over links of various quality.
Couldn't live without it.
The only thing that really bugs me is the seemingly random inability of
the client to resume sessions. Though, I suppose that's a marginal
improvement over the windows client which doesn't seem to resume
sessions at all.
