Dirty hack option: have a second device mirroring to the same input, rewire first mouse button to foot pedal :) I've been "casually" studying small-scale industrial production methodology.
For purposes of any specific application, it is probably easier to simply remap the application input, rather than rewiring the mouse-handling on an OS level.... (?) ciao, ben PS - When you ask, "...on the PC side?", do you mean on linux in particular? Is there a specific application you desire to have similar functionality within? PPS - There are many input arbitration methods that have been developed for the alter-abled, as well -- I indirectly knew a quadripelegic systems programmer who worked at a very high level, for administrative services of a large university in the northeast, who operated his computer entirely with a pen-like stick held in his mouth :) On 2/17/07, dooger watts <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Have searched and searched on this topic, but I haven't yet discovered if there's a keyboard equivalent to a hold-down-the-left-mouse-button. Been doing a lot of drawing/tracing, and, on The Miggy, you could leave your left index finger off the mouse button and concentrate on just the movement of the drawing cursor by holding down the Alt and Left Amiga keys at the same time. Is there such an equivalent on the PC side? Thanx, y'all, M _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
