WARNING! EXPANDED RANT AHEAD!
I just got over the Goldilocks Syndrome: first I blew a lot of
money on
computers and ended up in debt; then, I cheap'd out and got a lot of
headaches; now things are just right on hardware. Hey, I'm only four
years behind now! To be fair to me I've been working six and
seven days
a week, in non-computer work, for the past five years, but fortunately
my friend is almost finished with the remodel I've been helping
him on.
Of course, the crappy night job goes on, but this has let me dumpster
dive for some interesting hardware. So my point here is that it looks
like smooth sailing on hardware for a while, so take it slow and
enjoy
the ride.
I need to turn my direction to my main focuses: art related
projects and
getting a day job. I see some expanded possibilities for Tux on
YouTube; so I am re-energized. I also solved an important design
issue
relating to the materials for the body of the costume. Now, I have to
execute the design. I should have it done for the fair, but it all
depends on how it turn out and there won't be a Tux 2.0 if it fails.
Tux is just a goof. Just a little moral support. The comic is
another
issue. I'll be seriously engrossed after I get 1 GB of memory for my
design box (I had to steal memory from that one to get ZOD running.)
Yes, I work the memory margins.
The thing I was saying about the "Gift Economy" and open source is
that
the dynamic of presentation is changing rapidly. The
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
idea is outmoded and there are better forums for that.
