put a few million engineering hours into larger-scale batteries, huh?

If this wasn't off-topic enough, let me explain that I just took
Amtrak cross-country,
and stopping for 30 minutes every few hours to let cargo trains past is IDIOTIC.
Passenger trains, while not what they once were in North America, are
still Worth Doing.
