IIRC, Gnopernicus is text to speech only, one-way. There is a Wikipedia article on the state of the art in terms of speech recognition on Linux. < http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speech_recognition_in_Linux>. Sounds like Linux is way behind Windows in that regard.
