Well that is clear now. Now, EUGLUG cards aside, if I were to make up some cards which would be useful in the context of situations I find myself in, and be providing information needed by the people I meet, what other local organizations might others suggest I list on my mutant hybrid cards? I am not claiming to "be" euglug in any way, just needing a list of local resources I'd hand out... listing, among others: EUGLUG NextStep SAO & ITProForum SmartUps etc
I would also like to list specific mainstream software packages, like: Firefox OpenOffice ... or opensourcemac.org and opensourcewindows.org... unless the euglug.org website is willing to have some *very* simple directories of mac and windows software which non-nerds can easily navigate and find useful. Well thanks then -- I didn't mean to step on any toes, btw :) I'll prolly use something like vistprint, which I've used before, or maybe OfficeDespot. I simply want to have what I've determined would be useful to the info-hungry people I meet, which, no offense, goes beyond EUGLUG alone. I hope EUGLUG does not have any problems finding solidarity with other local organizations, so far shared membership and other elbow-bumping has not presented any problems I've seen. cheerio, Ben PS - on the topic of actualy euglug-specific cards, I would like to IMPLORE our membership to remember the broader cause. Eugene, Unix, Gnu/Linux, Users.... what I'm saying is that there is a lot of FOSS/FLOSS promotion missing from the space between Gnu and Users, and in Eugene most folks who already use linux and aren't "with euglug" already don't need euglug... most of the people *start* using linux do though... and most of those folks wouldn't start without some solid evidence of that commy crap actually being well-made and useful.
