Euglugers,

After reading the mail the past few days, there appears to be interest in
the euglug core to reach out and involve other groups in our community in
the next phase of telecommunications development. This would be to the
mutual benefit of all, and maybe even push the biggies along so we can catch
up with the rest of the world.

The first thing to do is to develop a consensus around what the message will
be to these various groups. What will they be "buying into" if they take
the leap to become informed and involved? Many call this a "business plan".
Without a plan, some measurable objectives, and a commitment of a core group
to work through the plan over a set period of time (say six months), the
euglug message is likely to be muddled and the initiative unsuccessful.

So, here are a couple questions that go beyond the business card idea that
is currently under discussion: 1) Is euglug committed to taking organized
steps to move the open source revolution in telecommunications along in our
community by providing clear and consistent leadership, direction, and
technical assistance? 2) Is there a core group at euglug willing to oversee
such a process, work together, and make the tough decisions as things
develop.

Count me in on taking the first steps and evaluating the options to answer
these questions.

Peter
