Version 9 (WP Office 2000) doesn't run natively on Linux. It's a port
of the Windows version to Wine. Also, very buggy, as would be expected
for a first port to Wine of the first WordPerfect for Windows version
produced without the contributions of the original WP Corp.
developers. The Windows version itself was pretty buggy in the initial
release, the build that was ported.

I've got a copy of the Wine port somewhere, but the bugs were show
stoppers for me. My memory fades, but I recall vaguely that the worst
for me was an inability to navigate the directory structure in the
file Save As dialog, or something along those lines. It's really a
shame that they never got to a service pack for that port.

On the plus side, the port of PerfectScript worked well. Scripts
developed for the Windows versions have to be recompiled on the Wine
port, but there were few problems so long as you didn't hit a Windows
dependency that Wine didn't yet handle well.

Best regards,

Paul
