Unfortunately that isn't quite detailed enough. The picture seems to show a Via 
chip which should work. Try "lspci" from the terminal and see what devices 
show. "dmesg" probably lists your card assuming it's plugged in properly, it 
just may not stand out. We could certainly find out more about it on a Thursday 
night. If you have the option of returning it and finding something with a 
Creative chipset there's a high degree of chance it would work right away. 
(With exception to higher end cards like the X-Fi series which all aren't quite 
plug and play).
