All you need is a valid OEM Vista DVD (any version), the license

Well, for one thing, there are a number of bundled third-party apps on
it which are useful that I'd like to be able to make available. And
for another, I don't have an OEM Vista disc just kicking around. If
you've got a source for that which doesn't involve buying yet another
license I don't intend on using, I'm all ears!
I can get you an OEM Vista DVD. That's no problem. In fact I think you
can even use a retail one. The keys aren't embedded anymore like they
were in XP. You could also just open a support ticket with Lenovo and
say their restore disk tool failed to create valid disks. They should
just mail you a set. At least that's what Dell has done for me in the
past with no argument.
