Looks neat. But if you are going to throw that much into a "netbook", why not just get a laptop? If it were like $100, I could see giving up the minimum 5" of horizontal, and 3 inches vertical of viewable space, graphics capabilities, and internal optical drive.
I like this one. Sure it has windows7 on it by default, but I am sure you could dual boot it and install your favorite flavor of Linux on it With a whopping 250 gig hd and a price $11 cheaper, I think I could live with having to repartition the drive. http://astore.amazon.com/best.cheap.laptop.under.300.dollars-20/detail/B002OEBIHE -E -----Original Message----- From: BB <[email protected]> To: Eugene Unix and Gnu/Linux User Group <[email protected]> Sent: Mon, Dec 7, 2009 11:07 am Subject: [Eug-lug] System76 Starling Netbook...any advice? I'm looking at buying the Starling netbook made by System76. Does anyone have any pro/con advice on this one?
