That's part of why I'm contacting the LUG.  I just got a job at the U of
O so now I got more money.  I'm tired of the tinkering, I just want
something that works.  I'm thinking of going with a Mac laptop next
year, that will be my stay-at-home, but mobile, work machine.

I'll consider what you said...if I could I'd probably want to get a SSHD
for ruggedness.  This would have to go in a backpack and I'm a full-time
bicyclist.

The Starling offers one thing...it's pre-configured, with support.
Though I read that the audio recording is iffy; something to do with
Pulseaudio.  Wouldn't you know that's something I want, but I can go
without.
