James, almost any P-4 machine, even with Intel older onboard graphics, will run 
Wow, albeit in reduced detail.

And yes, the AMD QUAD Phenom even with the old ATI X1300 card runs great on the 
Vizio 26" 1080p TV as a monitor. Should really look nice with the new GeForce 
9400 1GB card I bought.

I think manufacturers are getting the clue. I might spend $200 on 
something that will implode from heat related malaise or get stolen in 
six months before he gets $500 for a voodoo9000 graphics desktop with 
neon tubes. The weight to value ratio for a 14 year old isn't in the 
performance per se. Yes, it should run WoW. No, it doesn't require a 26" 
monitor although in retrospect it was fun playing on Jim's pc.
