James, almost any P-4 machine, even with Intel older onboard graphics, will run Wow, albeit in reduced detail.
Give me a call tonight for some free advice. Regards, Jim And yes, the AMD QUAD Phenom even with the old ATI X1300 card runs great on the Vizio 26" 1080p TV as a monitor. Should really look nice with the new GeForce 9400 1GB card I bought. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of James Kaplan Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 2009 8:29 AM To: Eugene Unix and Gnu/Linux User Group Subject: Re: [Eug-lug] netbook + WoW I think manufacturers are getting the clue. I might spend $200 on something that will implode from heat related malaise or get stolen in six months before he gets $500 for a voodoo9000 graphics desktop with neon tubes. The weight to value ratio for a 14 year old isn't in the performance per se. Yes, it should run WoW. No, it doesn't require a 26" monitor although in retrospect it was fun playing on Jim's pc. jk Ben Barrett wrote: > Wow, really? That's not cool at all. It is very hard to take to a > friend's house.
