It's no worse than using other providers like Comcast, Qwest etc.  Any
ISP can profile your traffic or redirect traffic to their services (
NXDOMAIN DNS tricks or ad servers.) to make more money.  Google does a
really good job of innovating services already existing in the
market-space.  They also do a good job of bringing new innovating
products to the market-space as well.  This is how the capitalism and
the free market work.

Unfortunately Google may have a uphill battle with the telcos and
cable providers.  I will be shocked if they don't make a big stink
about Google moving into the network provider space.  Some of the tier
one / backbone providers might also complain as well.  I only hope
this will force other network providers to provide faster network
services in the United States.
