Gkrellm is a gui and should show you graphical information, side-scrolling bar graphs basically, it can be configured to show lots of stuff, but in this case, its helpfull to see if anything abnormally high (such as CPU or disk activity)
It does look like you are already using swap, but not a lot. I have a computer with 512M ram, and the reason I dont use it much is because 512M isnt really enough memory to do much. a few tabs open, and its starts slowing down. Your load average seems a bit high, I didnt notice anything else unusual.
