Intel announces Sandy Bridge chipset recall

Stop all sales! Silicon problem can't be patched.

Intel says it won't be until April when fixed update of the Sandy Bridge chipset will be fully available. Of course, then it will be some time for motherboard vendors to manufacturer/ship new system boards, and then some time for system builders to build/ship new PCs.

After major time investment in hardware shopping research this last week, I planned to buy a new i7 Core Sandy Bridge based PC this weekend.

So now I have to decide to wait or buy two year old computer technology.

Now I think I'll just roll...ur, I mean build my own. Or maybe both.
