Hi, all,

I'm tempted to add a USB 3.0 PCI card to my 64-bit box and add to my
collection of USB devices a high capacity external drive for backups
and archival purposes. That box currently runs Linux Mint Julia as the
host and a few VirtualBox VMs as needed.

I have no problems accessing USB 2.0 devices from the VMs but am
wondering whether USB 3.0 is yet ready for prime time on Ubuntu
derivatives and VirtualBox. Doesn't seem to be a lot of information
out there yet on the topic.

Any relevant problems anyone knows of?

And are actual USB 3.0 data transfer rates worth messing with what
already works but 'twould be nice if it worked a bit faster?

Appreciate any wisdom, as always.

Best regards,

Paul
