Hi, Those that know me, will know I'm usually the audio monkey for tech conferences at the Conservatoire. This year I will hopefully doing the same but I'll certainly be needing some help. As there are more rooms than ever before and I will certainly struggle to cope by myself. Please come and share in the glory that is the Audio Monkeys.
There is a page to signup to help: http://wiki.europython.eu/VolunteersByActivity Johnathan Hartley I know your there, please get in touch. Most of the duties will involve, getting recordings at suitable times (breaks, lunchtime) which takes a few minutes, checking and changing batteries in wireless mics, and if your up to it some post-conference editing would be very helpful. Ideally a volunteer per room would make everything very easy, just pop your head in John, has Jim being booked? I reccomend the same setup we had last year, wireless lapel mic and corded handheld mic (or was it two wireless ones?) for each room. With regards to the keynote, if there is audio equipment there it will certainly be recorded. I can't vouch for the video guys whoever they are.
