Hello EuroPython-organisers,

At EuroPython 2010 the PSF 'hosted' two events which it is *likely* that we would like to repeat at EuroPython 2011. (I'm currently confirming this on the psf-members list but I would be very surprised if the answer is anything other than yes.)

The Python Language Summit. An event for Python core developers to discuss the ongoing development of the Python language. The event was held the day before the main conference and ran from about 10am-4pm. It needs a "meeting style" room (sitting around tables) suitable for up to 30 people. Wireless, and power adaptors needed. A projector would be useful but is not absolutely required.

A PSF members meeting. I think there were over forty of us at this in 2010. We used a room in outside premises for this at EuroPython. Similar requirements as for the language summit room, but more people. This event was held during the conference after talks had ended on one of the days.

Is this going to be ok for the EuroPython 2011 to provide for us? I will try and get a definite answer as soon as possible. If having the rooms involves any cost the PSF will be happy to reimburse this.

If I've missed any details then PSF members on list can correct me, or feel free to ask questions.

All the best,

Michael Foord
