Hi all, glad so see something moving forward...

Please forgive my (possibly insufficient) BA skills, but I thought "to budget for something" (here an event) means to plan expenses for that event. Now planning is a strictly forward oriented activity, or at least I think so, or maybe I should say I think that's what it should be. And while being aware of the difference of theory and practice I'm slightly surprised to see the opposite (planning after the event) expressed so bluntly at this place. To me that removes quite possibly any meaning whatsoever from the term planing. Which makes me wonder if I have maybe understood something completely wrong? > One really important thing to consider is that the budget and ticket prices > proposal are nothing official and are very likely going to change. Sure thing, but do you expect them to change after the conference, too?
