- SB1918, by Sen. Tom Torlakson, D-Martinez, would allow the
Segway Human Transporter, an electric two-wheel device, to
be classified as an electric assistive mobility device,
rather than a motor vehicle. This allows the Segway to be
operated on sidewalks and in bike lanes. Senate voted
26-8.
