Herb Beck has been attending San Jose EAA meetings, letting us know of how his Electric Scooter is progressing.
It uses a 36V agm battery mounted low for a low center of gravity. The range can be increased by adding a second 36V battery in parallel. The tires are wide for street and off road use. The handle bar does not twist like a zappy. It is supported to keep it straight. Steering is less by turning the handle bars and more by leaning the scooter using the gyroscopic effect of the wheels. His finished product was at the Rally for the public to try. He said he got a lot of good product feedback.
