Not to mention that it is easy to incorporate a sensor that detects wheel velocity and sends this back to the controller. You can also look at total regen current and brake pedal depression with another sensor. This was done on the TEVan to balance mechanical versus electrical braking. ABS is an electro-mechanical braking system and in my opinion has a longer response time than an all electrical motor-control system that can respond much faster. This is a system design issue and if handled properly is much better than an ICE-electromechanical system. Rod
