OT--Another Kilobuck to the good

I just got a note from Honda and a call from the local dealer telling me
that we qualified for a $1000 cash rebate from the California Energy
commission and our local air quality district for our hybrid....so added
to the 2 kilobuck federal tax credit,  the price for the Civic hybrid
actually dropped below what a similarly equipped non-hybrid  Civic would
have cost.
