As I understand it, hydro power is not perfect... Dam projects have
flooded old mines and brought (toxic) metals out of the ground.
Flooded vegetation rots producing greenhouse gases. The locals give up
a lot (if they are air-breathing.)
Having said this, I have high hopes for other "hydro" generation.
Small scale (streams and rivers) stuff, plus tidal and ocean current
generators. Wave energy too. Think huge floating turbines that turn
in ocean currents like the gulf stream. Think huge towers that look
like nuclear cooling towers but sit on the ocean bottom, using
rising/falling tides to pump water in/out to spin turbines.
Geothermal looks good too I think.
Anywhoo... yah, those specs (for the QH motor/batts) look pretty
impressive. I wish `em well.
