Quite - "a “B” drive mode that increases regenerative braking and
reduces electric motor output
to give the car its greatest range"  Is almost certainly a software
only change, unless it involves an extra notch on the drive selector
or something.

A shame to leave out a feature like that on the lower end model, I'm
sure even Apple would give you that one for free!
