That sounds reasonable. I charge my 2012 LEAF with the included EVSE which I had upgraded to operate on 240 volts by a company in California. It can operate at 16 amps at that voltage.

What we'd really like, though, is a charger that can plug in to the "ChaDeMo" (fast charge) port to charge up in 30 minutes or less. Not so much for home use, but a relatively inexpensive commercial device would be great!

Subject: [EVDL] Charging Leaf at 20amp receptacle.

I think the Leaf draws 16 amps at 240vdc. That's 3.3kw from the book. So it should be possible to build a home brew using a DS-50 with adapters(including a
J1772) to plug in anywhere including RV parks. Does my plan look good?
Lawrence Rhodes...I just hooked the 100 dollar J1772 up but haven't plugged in
yet. Lawrence Rhodes....Got the Leaf/Selling the Aspire
