I see your point, but keep in mind that the EVDL is intended to be noncommerical and educational. OTOH you could argue that having vendors and manufacturers take part is a service to the membership. The guidelines for manufacturers and vendors in section 3 of the list conventions try to straddle that line. http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#conv One of the things I ask for is that announcements read like the sponsorship announcements for NPR and PBS programs. By law those announcements are not allowed to contain pricing information. (I'm not saying it's illegal here, just that it's part of the "image.") So, I try to discourage vendors on the EVDL from saying much about prices. Some will no doubt push the limits, but generally most of them cooperate. I think "contact me offlist for details" is fine. If anyone else disagrees, you're welcome to contact me offlist. ;-) David Roden - Akron, Ohio, USA EVDL Administrator = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = EVDL Information: http://www.evdl.org/help/ = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Note: mail sent to "evpost" and "etpost" addresses will not reach me.
