I see your point, but keep in mind that the EVDL is intended to be 
noncommerical and educational.  OTOH you could argue that having vendors and 
manufacturers take part is a service to the membership.  The guidelines for 
manufacturers and vendors in section 3 of the list conventions try to 
straddle that line.

One of the things I ask for is that announcements read like the sponsorship 
announcements for NPR and PBS programs.  By law those announcements are not 
allowed to contain pricing information.  (I'm not saying it's illegal here, 
just that it's part of the "image.")  So, I try to discourage vendors on the 
EVDL from saying much about prices.  Some will no doubt push the limits, but 
generally most of them cooperate.

I think "contact me offlist for details" is fine.  If anyone else disagrees, 
you're welcome to contact me offlist.  ;-)
