Agree - Hotels will choose certain providers that they expect
are appreciated by their customers.
If you are in a high end conference hotel and ask for a cab to the
airport,
you might end up in a stretch limo because the provider has a fleet of
limos (besides high end taxis) and that was what he had available.
The regular businessman does not care for the cost of the ride,
since the company will pick up the tab anyway. But many customers *do*
care if they are squeezed into a vehicle that they consider below their
standing (their ego does not fit) - same with airline seats.

I can see the luxury Model S being used for high end taxi service.

Using Tesla-s EVs as Taxis is being done in Las Vegas, NV. See the post
I
made on Apr 10, 2013

EVLN: Tesla-S Electric Taxi Service in Downtown Las Vegas, Project 100

I have another newswire on this that gives a little more detail. But
both
talk about a plan where a member would pay a monthly fee to gain access
to
the Tesla taxi service, other EVs, ebikes, and more.

IMO I would like to also see these Tesla Taxis being in a traditional
on-call use as most taxis are today. I foresee the affluent (or those
wanting to live that life style for a couple days) not wanting to join
some
membership, and just have the casino/hotel quickly hail them a Tesla
Taxi so
they can ride in style.
