So the charging time and power is an issue for Schuko. The socket might be at -35C during winter and after a full charge it's +80C. And again next morning it might be -20C. The cable (5x 2,5 sqmm) with thick rubber insulation is heavy. And it pulls the socket down. All that combined is a bit too much.
> > Jukka, What happen to the LiFePO4 cell production in Finland? Is it dead? > I'm building my next factory. :D Sold the previous one away already in December 2010. They are in production but struggling to find viable market segment. Will not comment about the strategies. This new foil-less cell design is so neat and simple. Reduced weight and cost. Hope to get the proto factory up. Getting quotations on equipment. I feel like I have billion ants crawling under my skin. A bit too excited about batteries.. eh.. :P > In Sweden NiMh production unit start and ramping up now.. hmm, maybe > 10-15 years to late? > Maybe not. There is thousands of various applications to go for. NiMh might kick ass in some of them. -Jukka > Speaking of that, I have some old sales datasheets from Panasonic NiMH EV > battery, > from the time back then when Ericsson sold it.
