Hello,

I finally got my Open Revolt controller installed in my Jet
ElectraVan. I am now reminded of an old problem: a slipping clutch.
I'm not sure whether it's worse because the car sat for so long or
whether the new controller is more aggressive. But, it must be solved
before I start driving the car again.

This is a common problem with this car since the original gas engine
was tiny and the conversion re-used the existing clutch.

Years ago, I asked a local clutch shop whether stickier clutch material
could be used, but they said that only solution was stronger springs.
I wasn't anxious to increase the spring load because the clutch feels
right, and stronger springs would give issues with clutch cable wear.
So, I ignored the problem.

None of the drivers of my van use the clutch for starting, just for
shifting. So, I would be happy with a nearly binary action.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike -- Phoenix
