This review says the weight of the 7th gen Golf is about 3000 lb: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2015-volkswagen-golf-first-drive-review-a-worthy-successor-page-2
The e-Golf should be a bit heavier. Maybe drag coeff and weight just slightly lower than a Leaf? Battery pack is about the same capacity. Acceleration seems to be similar. Based on that I would guess range in the 80's is more accurate, with 118 mi being at around 30 mph, despite the claim of 200Wh/mile average. If so, it will have to be priced to compete with the Leaf, though some might prefer its appearance. Sounds like a nice car. Wish that 118 mi was at 60 mph though. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EVLN-VW-e-Golf-first-drive-review-tp4666235p4666237.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
