Like most EV drivers on the list, my thoughts about selling
electricity from my battery pack has not been very positive. Looking
at the numbers, a 100ah Lithium cell stores 300watts and if we said
3000 cycles is 900kw or $90.00 worth of Electricity at 10cents a kw.
So the storing of the electricity costs about twice what the
electricity costs. If you wanted a kw it would cost me 30 cents (
this is not profit). We add on another 10 cents for profit and now we
would need to sell our electricity for 40 cents a kw. Is there ever a
time the power companies would buy it at this price?
