Not much to add (I'm really testing my new mail server receives list messages) but I will say this:
Daytime temps here in NE Ohio dipped down to -9F, and I continued to drive my lead-acid GEM around town. The only thing I did extra was to opportunity charge several times to warm the batteries and keep the voltage up above the point where the DC/DC converter would drop out and shut me down ;-) Now tires, however, are where some real improvement could be made.
