[OT: I hope you have some say in what mail severs and went for the greener/low-power consumption Atom or Arm processor based ones http://www.servethehome.com/Server-detail/supermicro-sys-5017a-ef-intel-atom-centerton-1u-server/ http://www.baserock.com/servers/specifications Saving energy while keeping the computing power up, also saves on air conditioning energy to get rid of the waste heat (a double green if you will) ... -Back on topic- I already posted one frozen U.S. EV piece http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EVLN-Norwegian-drove-100s-of-EV-miles-in-Norway-s-cold-snow-video-tp4667264.html EVLN: Norwegian drove 100s of EV miles in Norway's cold & snow (video) Jan 8 2014 And I have a couple more lined up, another for the Americas, and one for Europe. The media could have taken advantage of the range degradation of cold on the lesser thermally managed EVs, or used it to promote those EVs that are better thermally managed. But that did not happen. It is like the automakers are not handing out PR copy like in 2013. 2014 newswires are starting out to be a different beast. Plus I posted an interesting tire-talk by Bridgestone with some links that has their response to the ago old LRR vs range/mpg questions http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EVLN-Bridgestone-sez-large-diameter-narrow-tread-higher-range-mpg-tp4667332.html EVLN: Bridgestone sez large-diameter+narrow-tread = higher range/mpg Jan 10 2014 [OT: Funny how early adopters saw all this freaky-deaky global climatic changing stuff coming, and now we 'all' get to live with the consequences of years high-energy-consuming societies.
