Oooh...! That sounds most interesting. The last time I looked there they had
not made any progress. I'd be even more interested in this from the other side
of the Chademo charge port ie to have a kit which could be added to an existing
EV (particularly a DIY one) to allow it to charge from a stock Chademo charger.

I agree with you thoughts on my Ion's charging issue. 'Something marginal' and
'wet' might go well together to spell 'problems'. I, too, was beginning to
think my charging problems were due to a fault on my Ion (whilst stuck in the
pouring rain) but I used the same charger at Reading only 2 weeks ago without
issue (relatively dry at the time, incidentally) - and besides, ecotricity
confirmed the next day that both Reading chargers were 'offline'. Also, I
learned that the error message given by the Chademo chargers start '0x05 for a
charger-based issue and '0x04' for a car-based one and all mine were the
former... for what that's worth. In fact I just remembered I took a photo of
the Chademo screen at Leigh Delamere westbound at 1630 hours on the 24th and
the error reads 'Error. Error occurred during charging session. 0x0005 -
Ground error detected. Contact the administrator". I didn't take any others
sadly.

Thanks for the info. I'll have a look. MW
