Yes, I can understand the conflict here! In its day this was one of the finest examples of real muscle with lean style lines. My family had a doctor friend who used to take me and my brother on various outings. It was a special treat when he would break out the Pantera (at the time the car was maybe 3 years old), and "let it breathe a little". The closest that I ever got to owning one was when I bought a '75 Bricklin (Canada's version of the Pantera, also with the 351 Ford motor and manual transmission) in the early 90's. Fun car! And yet, I can just imagine how this would handle with an 11" motor and lithiums! Would modifying a Pantera destroy its collector value, or enhance it? This same question has been grappled with a few years ago when the idea of converting the DeLorean to electric a few years back. Turns out that it too has become a collectors item in its own right, even heard talk of starting up a new production of the electric version!
