This is just the usual ignorant self-centered "I'm the greatest in the world" marketing bravado.
Tesla is the most recent disruptive entrant into the Automotive industry. Or by including the phrase "first... in decades", it would be Sebring Vanguard with the Citicar in the 1970s. I'm sure we could find a dozen other candidates that have produced and delivered more cars than Local Motors.
