Well, it is, but be careful. C is, in effect, a unitless constant. It happens to be defined as the same number as the battery's 20h capacity in amp hours. But C isn't either amps or amp hours. It's a number. The value of C is used in expressions. For example, you might read that if you're using a golf car battery, for good battery life you shouldn't exceed 1C amps continuously. So, if your battery is rated 220ah at 20h, then your maximum continous current should be 220 amps. Or, you might say (after using the Peukert calculator) that your battery has a capacity of : 100ah at 1C (C) amps (220a) 120ah at 0.5C (C/2) amps (110a) 180ah at 0.1C (C/10) amps (22a) 220ah at 0.05C (C/20) amps (11a) (duh ;-) You don't adjust C for current; rather, you use it in calculations that make or define those adjustments.
