The E-Tron is finally ready for the road as the brand gave its production the green light for a very limited quantity. There will be a limited amount made available for customers who request it, nothing more. The R8 E-Tron ws unveiled some time ago but there were quite a few concerns. The biggest issue was the 130-mile battery range. The company pulled the model back a few times and redesigned it. Now, the battery gets more than double the output with a battery life of 280 miles, over 100 more than when it originally debuted. While that still isn’t a whole heck of a lot of range, the 2-door model pumps out 376 horsepower and over 500 kb-ft of torque. That should create a 0 to 60 time of about 4.2 seconds from point A to point B. This limited production run is a great set-up for a long range future of the Audi electric car market.
