Reminds me of the Flybo that was imported for a while and sold (IIRC) on Ebay. It was visually almost a Smart clone.
http://www.treehugger.com/cars/flybo-arrives-on-us-shores-updated.html Sold for $10k, which struck me as a bit much for what it was - 48v, 25mph top speed, reportedly very cheaply made. I think Mercedes sued them over that similarity, and in fact the Flybo I found at flybo.cn just now indeed looks considerably different. http://www.flybo.cn/productshow.asp?id=113 This newer version has a 5kw, 72v DC motor. Lead battery, claimed 150ah. Top speed 60 km/h (37mph). Claimed range 220km (ha! maybe at walking speed). Or this one, with a 96v 10kw AC motor and a 5 speed manual front transaxle (looks like an ICEV conversion to me). Top speed 90 km/h, range 160km (again seems fanciful). http://www.flybo.cn/productshow.asp?id=90 David Roden - Akron, Ohio, USA EVDL Administrator = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = EVDL Information: http://www.evdl.org/help/ = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Note: mail sent to "evpost" and "etpost" addresses will not reach me.
