I'm kinda in the same boat (or at least, may be taking it in the future). My knees are bad, so walking is getting difficult. But I walk anyway, because they would get even worse without the exercise.

I also replaced my bike with an Ebike. It lets me keep riding, but "hides" the hills to save my knees.

There are lots of solutions and tradeoffs, from doing nothing to a full-blown wheelchair. The situation is also fluid, and may change at any time. Some days are better than others, or the distance may be a factor.

If you had your "druthers", what would the best solution be (besides having your youth back). :-) Maybe we can help you look?
