I have been driving electric since 1999 with the help of the EVDL. I waited
until the Bleeding edge people had done the expen$ive re$earch Brian Hall
at Thunderstruck motors convinced me that the time had come. Cruisin' Al
helped me make the transition from Lead Acid to Lithium, getting the
batteries from the Chinese American (?) CALB importer/distributor in LA,
and the mini-BMS & EV Display from Dimitri at Clean Power. That was in
2011, and everything came quickly. I had no problems getting my questions
answered, and any problems I had worked out very satisfactorily. I'm in the
3rd year of driving the EVEscort as my daily driver, and I cannot see any
difference in the capacity of the pack, and I have only had to do
individual charging on 2 of my 40 100Ah CALB cells 1 time; That was the 1st
time that I could find more than 0.01v difference in individual cells.
