I built a lot of automatic conversions, its no big thing, unless you try and build a computer with a stone ax, most here do, keep it simple, if the car ran well with a gas engine it WILL run good on eclectic , the adaptor plate and coupler is a test in knowing what and how to run a lathe and milling machine, spacing is critical, trueness is very critical. the newer Trans's are even more simple than the older ones, a TH 400 and TH 350 needs vacuum to shift smoothly, you can buy a stand alone modual to set shift points and pressure points in the new trans that are all computer controlled.
If you want top pull apart a TH 350/400 and install a manual shift kit,, now you have a stick trans LOLOL I don't see the point, garbage in, garbage out. A TH 200 needs no vacuum . a evnetics controller will give you a curb idle, you can set at any idle you want, remember KISS , or beat your head on the pavement . you can experiment with different torque converters if you want, I use what it came with, never had a problem so far ..but you do what you want if you think its right -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
