State Farm didn't have any problem with a production EV.  It was the fact that 
it was a conversion that caused the grief.  I was actually pretty pissed about 
the way it went down.

Before I bought the conversion, I asked my agent if they could insure it.  I 
was assured that wasn't a problem.  I buy it, bring it home and they write the 
policy.  A month later, I get a letter from the underwriter stating that my 
insurance was cancelled.  I then had to scramble to get insurance elsewhere.
