While the nabble evdl archive only goes back to about 2000, I have been providing these newswire item posts since about 1990. While some may say that is quite a lot of 'free' work to provide to the plugin community (actually the world because the search-engines pickup on evdl.org posts), I would rather say another big thank-you to the evdl.org members for letting me post here. While it is true that there are other lists/groups/forums that I could move to post to (many people post a link to the evdl EVLN post they like to keep their forum informed), I like the evdl because that is where is all began for me (call it pay back to draw attention to the people who got the ball rolling by converting ice to EVs). This task of sieving through all the plugin news items several times a day, capturing the text, finding the high-resolution image URLs, and formatting them in a more standardized format that ensures both the writer gets the credit (when available), and the date of the piece. I put the images, video, and other social-media links near the top because there are some people who only read the text if the eye-candy is worthy (so I put that first, and then try to make the text easy to read). While I may not actually have blisters on my fingers, I do have calluses from using the mouse so much.
